Sudduth Elementary Friendship Playground Project
Sudduth Elementary serves 1,167 students in grades kindergarten, first, and second grade. A special education preschool program was established in 2010, in order to meet the needs of Oktibbeha County families. In one year, the program has grown from one to three classrooms and the Starkville School District expects to add a fourth classroom in the spring of 2012. The Sudduth Elementary Friendship Playground was successfully completed in October 2012. This new inclusive playspace provides children the opportunity to interact with their peers regardless of ability level. Our playground allows all children in the community to explore, socialize, and learn through play.
